📖 Why the Moon?
In my previous letter, I talked about how our menstruation cycle - aka Inner Moon Cycle - is so intertwined with the Moon, and her cycles and phases.
Today, we dive deeper into this and see how we can consciously track our energy while connecting with the Moon and ourselves.
All of nature’s cycles can help us discover our rhythms and patterns. However, some are quite long making it difficult to see, feel, and understand those rhythms or they’re too short making the process confusing and overwhelming.
The influence of the Moon is perfect as a beginner’s guide because, if we’re mindful, we can notice the subtle changes through the phases and zodiac signs.
The Power of Tracking
For this to work, we need to journal and track a few essential things throughout the day:
Our energy levels: for me, the easiest way is to give it a number between 1 and 10. One is the lowest in my energy and 10 is the highest of my energy.
Our sleep + dreams: here, I add the number of hours I slept and whether I dreamt or not. I write the actual dreams elsewhere. Also, I use colors to refer to the type of night I had. For example, a color for very good sleep, another for nightmares, and so on.
Our movements: I try to move my body every day. Sometimes I walk outside, or I do a (short) indoor workout, I may dance or do some yoga. I also count deep cleaning as a movement session. Depending on the type of movement/activity I like to use again colors. Plus, I write down how long I moved.
I never plan my movements in advance. I rather feel on the actual day what it’s I would like to do and check in with my energy levels.
Our body: Is there something my body is telling me? I track all types of sensations and discomforts from my body.
Our mood: here, I write a few common moods - happy, angry, neutral, etc. - and I give them a color.
Our environment: important things, events, and people-related situations go into my journal as well. So everything that happens outside of my self - and body - and to my direct surroundings which of course has an effect on me.
Our Inner Moon Cycle: last but not least, I track my entire Inner Moon Cycle and I go in-depth on the actual day(s) of my Moontime.
Working with Moon Mandalas Trackers
I like to work with several Moon Mandalas Trackers where I track each aspect of the list above.
Moon Mandalas give you a fast and powerful helicopter view once you start unveiling your rhythms and patterns.
I do recommend journaling, at least one page per day and going a bit deeper than just using the Moon Mandala Trackers.
Moon Mandala Tracker pages aren’t easy to find, so I created one for you to use. Just scroll below to get yours.
Decide what you’ll want to track - maybe all of them - and just print the page the needed times. If your journal is an A4 size or you use an A4 Binder you can just easily add the pages in your journal/binder.
If you use another size journal, you can then cut the actual Moon Mandalas and paste them into your journal.

Tracking for at least a few Moon Cycles
Unveiling rhythms and patterns may take a while. For that reason, I’d recommend tracking at least three moon cycles. You can read how to work with Moon Cycles here.
However, The Moon and Cycal Living are never-ending aspects of our lives, and the longer you do it the more fun, powerful, and magical they become.
Putting it together: The Review
After three Moon Cycles, we can start reviewing or looking back in our journal.
If you look closely you’ll start to see these rhythms and patterns; you’ll notice when you feel at your highest or at your lowest, when you have more energy, feel productive, and inspired, and when you better could rest, or take time to yourself.
This is powerful information! Knowing your inner flow, allows you to plan accordingly and set you off to success. What more do you want?
🖋️ Review Journaling Prompts
Do you have an idea what the Moon Mandala Tracking pages will unveil to you?
Start using these journaling prompts after three moon cycles:
Which Moon phase and moon Signs are your friends?
And which are your foes?
Do you think you could start using this information for your planning?

💫 WeatherVane’s Flow
I skipped a week 😱, I know!
Several things are happening right now, and none of them fun…
Between fighting fleas as my cat brought them back home, still having issues with an important family member, and receiving bad nieuws in regards to another family member, my days, head, and heart have been kind of filled.
Adding the energy of the Eclipse Season into the mix, with the cherry on the top this past Taurus Full Moon Lunar Eclipse, I couldn’t bring myself to write or post anything.
The thing is I’m so behind right now, that I’m not sure If I’ll make it to post this week again. But, I’ll do my best!
